NEW YORK (AP) -- A Department of Education spokeswoman says a Bronx elementary school lockdown has been lifted. The precaution was taken because of a toy gun.

Spokeswoman Margie Feinberg says the principal of Public School 4 had called for the lockdown Tuesday morning to be on the safe side.
