Council to vote on Conte: NORTH ADAMS -- A special meeting of the City Council will be held tonight for the final vote on a $29.7 million bond for renovating the former Silvio O. Conte Middle School into a K-7 elementary school. Approval requires a 2/3 vote. Last time, councilors John Barrett III and Marie Harpin opposed the funding.

Reclaiming roads: SAVOY -- The town's roads have been a primary concern in the minds of Selectmen since the current board came on this summer. The Transcript provides an update on a number of these projects, including Route 116, Black Brook Road and the River Road bridge.

Public ‘feedback': NORTH ADAMS -- Peter May, who offers an alternative to drug therapy for ADD, ADHD and other disorders, will give a presentation on the Low Energy Neurofeedback System (LENS) on Thursday at North Adams Public Library.
