One arrested following crash: NORTH ADAMS -- A 32-year-old Ludlow man was arrested Monday after crashing into housing at 610 State St. David A. Pederneira, of Arnold Street in Ludlow, will be charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked-lanes violation.

A Solid line-up: NORTH ADAMS -- The Solid Sound Festival lineup has been announced, with acts such as The Dream Syndicate, Low, Yo La Tengo, Neko Case and Os Mutantes.

In addition to a plethora of indie rock bands and two shows by Wilco, the three-day festival, running from June 21 to 23, also once again will include a comedy festival and activities.

additions are two "culinary" events -- dinners that highlight Berkshire foods and spirits and a chance to eat with Wilco, which will benefit KidSpace and the Berkshire library pass program.

Divided on data input: ADAMS -- The Adams Free Library Board of Trustees met last week with Town Administrator Jonathan Butler to discuss this year's budgeting. Their request for a full-time position to input data into the library's new online system was rebuffed by the administrator, but the trustees will maintain the item in their recommendations.

Taking to the (frozen) water: CHESHIRE -- The Rod and Gun Club held its annual fishing derby Sunday, which brought out roughly 100 people.

Scenes from Spring Street's past: WILLIAMSTOWN -- A new historical exhibit will show how Spring Street has evolved throughout the years.

"Spring Street: Then and Now," curated by Rita Watson of the Williamstown Historical Society, will open at the David and Joyce Milne Public Library on Saturday, Feb. 23.

"I hope it stimulates a lot of memories. It certainly has for me," Watson said.
