Who says there's nothing to do this weekend? Here's a sampling of activities going on this weekend!
Saturday, June 1
Buy a book, support the Clarksburg Library's programming
When: 9 to noon
Where: 711 West Cross Road, Clarksburg
What: The Friends of the Clarksburg Town Library will host a bake / used book sale.
The book sale will include children's and adult books, movies, and audio books. Many items are 50 cents or less.
All donations will be used to enhance the services and programs at the library.
Run or walk ... Support Youth Center Inc. and Adams Friends of Animals
When: 10 a.m.
Where: Russell Field portion of the Ashuwilticook Rail Trail.
What: 2nd annual 5k Trail Race/ Take Your Children and Pets for A Walk benefit supporting Youth Center Inc. and the Adams Friends of Animals.
First 100 registered will receive a free tee shirt! Prizes for top three race finishers.
After the race activities will include food, raffles, bounce house, face painting, tennis games/instruction, youth obstacle course and games!
Proceeds will benefit programming at the Youth Center and Scholarships for Northern Berkshire students in a veterinary field.
Donations of pet supplies ( food, litter, etc) will be accepted.
Registration: Day of $35 for 5K, $15 for family walk.
Berkshires For Boston (B4B) concert fundraiser
Where: Bowe Field off of Route 8.
What: The free event will feature performances by Mary Verdi, Karma Fund with Kri Blowsie, Big Aussie Bob, Johnny Mystic, James Durst, David Reed, R. Sabrina Lewis, Wolf Cry and One Way Out. There will also be a drumming circle by Otha Day, at 3 p.m.
Vendor spaces for nonprofits and artists, musicians and civic groups are also free. Food and catering will be provided by the Bounti-Fare Restaurant.
The B4B campaign aims to raise funds for the One Fund Boston, to aid the continuing medical and rehabilitation needs of victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.
To accomplish this, B4B invites Berkshire County businesses to donate 4 percent of their sales/profits for the day or weekend of Saturday, June 1, or the month of June.
Members of the public are also invited to participate.
The B4B fundraising campaign will continue throughout the month.

View local artists' work at the 6th annual Berkshire Salon
When: Noon to 5 p.m.
Where: Eclipse Mill Gallery, 243 Union St., North Adams
What: For the sixth year in a row local artists have come together for a non-juried group show. Gallery is open noon to 5 and is staffed by artists who have work on display. Exhibit is open Saturdays and Sundays through June 2.
Journey to the top of Mount Greylock
What: Starting today, Bascom Lodge, will be open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, dinner and lodging.
Bascom Lodge is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year.

Lecture: "What's in a name?"

Where: Department of Conservation & Recreation's Visitors Museum, Building No. 4, Western Gateway Heritage State Park, North Adams
What: NThe Department of Conservation & Recreation's Visitors Museum at Western Gateway Heritage State Park will present an illustrated lecture, "What's in a Name?," at 2 p.m., on Saturday.
This illustrated lecture will search nature for creatures with odd names and even odder behaviors.

Dance to the Williamsburg Salsa Orchestra
