NORTH ADAMS -- The next meeting of the Northern Berkshire Interfaith Action Initiative (NBIAI) will be held Friday, June 29, at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of North Adams. Use the Eagle Street entrance. All are welcome.
They will be featuring two important topics. First NBIAI Steering Committee member Corinne Case will make a presentation on harmful new tobacco products being sold to young people to hook them on tobacco at a young age. There will also be a meeting with representative(s) of The Berkshire Dream Center, a faith-based nonprofit which is helping people in Berkshire County, including Pittsfield and North Adams.
The NBIAI is a group of people of various faiths and denominations working together with others of good will to find ways to serve our community. In addition to the June 29 meeting, a blog features entries on "The Field of Flags: A Powerful Tribute!," "Stunning Friendship Center Attendence Statistics" and "A Celebrity Chef and Family Try to Live on Food Stamps for a Week."
