CHESHIRE -- St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 159 Church St., welcomes Piotr (Peter) Calik, a native of Po land, who as a third-year seminarian has been assigned to the parish for a pastoral summer experience.

He will assist the pastor, the Rev. David Ray mond in the celebration of Masses at 4 p.m. on Sat urday and 8:45 a.m. on Sunday, and will work on his pastoral ministry skills and advancing his English skills.
