READSBORO, Vt. -- Readsboro will celebrate Independence Day on Satur day, June 30.
The day will begin with the parade at 11 a.m. on Main Street. The theme for this year’s parade is "Show Your American Pride." Floats of all types can register the day of the event at 10 a.m. at Mack Bros. on Main Street.
The events will continue at the Readsboro ball field and will include a tough truck (and ATV) obstacle course, lumberjack competition, children’s activities, food, horseshoe tournament, music and more.
The Readsboro Lion’s Club will serve barbecue chicken dinners at 1 p.m. The day will finish with a fireworks display by Atlas Fireworks.
