Feathers topic of illustrated talk

NORTH ADAMS -- The Department of Conservation & Recreation at Western Gateway Heritage State Park will offer an illustrated lecture, "Light as a Feather," on Saturday, June 30, at 2 p.m.

One of nature’s most fascinating inventions is the feather. This illustrated lecture covers the science of bird feathers and both the historical and cultural use of them by humans.

Western Gateway Heritage State Park is south of the Hadley Overpass on Route 8. The Visitors Center is in building 4. For information, call 413-663-6312.
