NORTH ADAMS -- The following cases were heard in Northern Berkshire District Court on Monday:

* Derek J. Rhinemiller, 31, of Mohawk Forest Boulevard in North Adams, was found guilty of shoplifting by asportation, third offense and trespassing. Rhinemiller was sentenced to one year in a house of correction.

* Johnathan J. Loring, 18, of Washington Avenue in North Adams, was found guilty of assault. Loring was sentenced to 60 days in a house of correction.

* Carl Scutt Jr., 18, of Union Street in North Adams, was arraigned on charges of assault and disorderly conduct. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for July 30.

* Marlene J. Alcombright, 36, of Charlene Street in North Adams, was arraigned on charges of assault and battery, assault with a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for July 30.

* Jesse A. Goman, 23, of Massachusetts Avenue in North Adams, was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault and battery, disturbing the peace and resisting arrest. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Aug. 1.

* Brandylee M. Herbert, 22, of East Hoosac Street in Adams, was arraigned on two counts breaking and entering a building during

the day for a felony, two counts of firearm larceny, possession of a class A drug, possession of a Class B drug, being present where heroin is kept and possession of a firearm without a Firearms Identification Card. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for July 20.

* Michael P. Caldwell, 27, of Veazie Street in North Adams, was arraigned on a charge of assault. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for July 25.

* Allen G. Ritcher Jr., 30, of Demers Avenue in Clarksburg, was arraigned on charges of breaking and entering a building at night for a felony, larceny over $250 and larceny under $250. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for July 27.

A warrant was issued for the following person:

* Amberlynn Butler, 19, of Bracewell Avenue in North Adams, on two counts assault on a public employee and one count obstructing a medical facility.

The following cases were heard in Northern Berkshire District Court on Tuesday:

* John L. Bump, 39, of Bracewell Avenue in North Adams, was found guilty of possession of a Class E drug. Bump was fined $150 by the court.

* Shawn Tripodes, 18, of Brooklyn Street in North Adams, was arraigned on a charge of larceny under $250. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for July 31.

* John F. Alfonso II, 32, of Murray Street in Adams, was arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Aug. 22.

* Jessica L. Horsfall, 21, of Howland Avenue in Adams, was arraigned on a charge of violating an abuse-prevention order. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Aug. 21.

* Laura Benjamin, 28, of Hill Street in Webster, was arraigned on charges of failure to wear a seat belt and possession of a Class B drug. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Aug. 1.

* Angel S. Ortiz, 20, of Buttrick Avenue in Bronx, N.Y., was arraigned on a charge of possession of a Class D drug with intent to distribute. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Aug. 24.

* Cristin U. Ihara, 22, of Gramercy Place in Gardena, Cal., was arraigned on a charge of possession of a Class D drug with intent to distribute. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Aug. 24.
