WILLIAMSTOWN -- Two hikers were rescued from Mount Greylock after getting lost between two trails Sunday afternoon.

Forest Warden Richard Daniels said Sunday night that the unidentified hikers -- one male and one female -- got lost somewhere between the Haley Farm and Stony Ledge trails on their way up the mountain.

Two rangers from the Department of Conservation and Recreation came down from the top of the mountain looking for the hikers, while Daniels and Fire Chief Craig Pedercini came up from The Hopper at the base of the mountain, Daniels said.

"The hikers ended up finding the Haley Farm trail, and the rangers found them about five minutes later," he said.

The hikers weren't injured, and walked back to The Hopp er with the rangers, he said. The hikers were reported lost at about 2:50 p.m., and were found around 5:30 p.m.
