NORTH ADAMS -- Berk shire Natural Resource Coun cil has announced its upcoming programs and hikes.
Friday, July 6, 7 p.m. -- Hoosac Range Bonfire event, North Adams. Come view the night sky without light pollution. Round up friends and family for a summer nighttime adventure on the Hoosac Range above North Adams. There will be a bonfire with s’mores at a clearing with great views of Mount Greylock.
Wednesday, July 11, 9 a.m. -- Basin Pond Morning Hike, Lee. Don’t sleep through this morning hike at Basin Pond. Leave the trailhead at 9 a.m. to hike the loop, stopping at the overlook platform above the pond.
Saturday, July 14, 9 a.m. -- Hoosac Range Beaver Wetland Hike, North Adams. Come see the Hoosac Range’s beaver wetland. Hike 2.5 miles on trail and logging roads to this unique bedrock-framed wetland. Be sure to bring a camera.
Monday, July 16, 9 a.m. -- Dog Friendly Hike at Basin Pond, Lee. This hike gives owners and their dogs some off-leash time without startling other group hikers who may not be so appreciative of the four-legged companions. Rain or shine.
Wednesday, July 18, 9 a.m. -- Bob’s Way Hike, Monterey. Meet at the trailhead at 10 a.m. Stop by Dave’s Bench and the wetland while looping through the property.
Wednesday, July 25, 2 p.m. -- Constitution Hill Hike, Lanesborough. Catch the summer breeze and take in Lanesborough’s landscape.
Friday, July 27, noon
Saturday, July 28, 10 a.m. -- Clam River Ramble, Sandis field. Travel logging roads to take in hemlocks and pines through the forest before venturing off-trail to the Clam River. Rain or shine.
