ROWE -- The North Adams Historical Society will participate in the special "Rail-Fan Sunday" program at the Rowe Historical Society, 282 Zoar Road, starting at 11:30 a.m., on Sunday, July 8.

The event will highlight the history of the Hoosac Tunnel with exhibits and presentations by noted speakers Jerry Kelley and Tim Lawrence. There will be an exhibit of antique trains featuring unusual pieces from private collectors, and a display of memorabilia from the Kemp-McCarthy Museum’s Hoosac Tunnel collection.

In addition to the North Adams Historical Society, exhibitors will include the Amherst Railway Society, the Massachusetts Bay Rail Enthusiasts, the Shelburne Falls Trolley Museum, Operation Life-Saver and several vendors of railroad merchandise.

The program opens at 11:30 a.m. and repeats throughout the day, with a suggested donation of $5. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be available. For more information, visit www.rowehistoricalsociety.org.
