ADAMS -- The Adams Agricultural Fair has added many new events for the 38th fair, which run from Aug. 2, 3, 4, and 5, at Bowe Field, Route 8.
The second Battle of the Bands will be held Thursday, Aug. 2, from 6 to 10 p.m., on the field. Entry forms for bands are available at www.adamsfair.com or Facebook Adams Fair. Bands will be judged in both youth and adult categories. Information: Email jos

New this year is the "Hill Billy" Garden Tractor Drag Race on the fairgrounds Saturday, Aug. 4, at noon. Tractors must be valued less than $300, no decks allowed, less than 1Ž2 tank of gas and there is a $15 entry fee. Forms available online at www.adams
fair.com. Everyone is welcome to enter.
The chili challenge to all restaurants to claim the bragging right of best chili has been expanded with the event to begin Saturday, Aug. 4, at 1 p.m., with samples available and voting for favorites.
The demolition derby is Sunday, Aug. 5, at 2 p.m., rain or shine. Drivers are encouraged to prepare their cars, decorate them and enter the day of the fair or by contacting Dan Galvis at Skyfire Productions, chiefgalvis@hotmail.com. A shuttle bus will be available beginning at 11 a.m. from Curran Highway.

Two bands will entertain -- PBJ on Friday, Aug 3, at 7 p.m. and Shut Up and Dance on Saturday, Aug. 4, at 7 p.m.
Fair booklets are available with entry forms for all categories. Everyone is eligible to enter their animals, garden produce, hand-made items and backed goods in the baking contest, with recipes in the booklet will be judged. Information: Email Pat2148@verizon.net or call 413-358-2071.
