PITTSFIELD -- City police are seeking the whereabouts of a 3-year-old girl believed to be caught in the middle of a custody battle.
Alexis Hodges is allegedly with her mother, Amanda Babcock, and the woman's boyfriend, Jeffrey Kucka, Pittsfield detectives reported Wednesday.
Police believe all three are still in the Berkshires, as Babcock and Kucka have ties to Williamstown, Lanesborough and Hancock. The couple is supposedly traveling in a green 1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport with Massachusetts license plate 5-8-8 E-E-3.
Police say the case involves a custody battle but gave no other information regarding the nature of the custody dispute.
A relative of the biological father, Michael Hodges, claims in an email to New England Newspapers he was awarded full custody of Alexis and the girl was to be turned over to him a week ago.
Anyone with information regarding Alexis Hodges, Babcock and Kucka should contact the Pittsfield Police Department at 413-448-9700.
