PITTSFIELD -- The Berkshire Community Col lege Performing Arts Partbeats is hosting an open mic, "Mr. Mic," on Saturday, Aug. 11, from 7 to 10 p.m., in the BCC cafeteria.
The event is open to the public. Admission is $3 at the door, and performers are granted free access.
All proceeds go toward upgrading audio equipment, instruments and scholarships for performing arts students.
"Mr. Mic" is looking for people who can perform comedy, poetry, prose, dance and dramatic readings, as well as instrumental performances. Walk-in performers are welcome, but advance registration is preferred. Contact Chad Tarves at chadtarvesmusic@aim.com for more information or to sign-up.
