MANCHESTER, Vt. -- Ballet Manchester's director, Marilyn Cavallari, has announced the company's performance for this summer.

The program will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 8, at the Southern Vermont Arts Center and will feature international ballet stars including principal dancer Charles Askegard, formerly of the New York City Ballet; Georgina Pazcoquin, soloist with NYCB; Anna Liceica, former soloist of ABT; along with Vitali Krauchenka, Luciana Paris, Sean Stewart, Cassandra Trenary, Sterling Baca and Gabrielle Johnson of ABT.

The performance will feature many world-premier pieces choreographed to live music by Donald Knaack, an international musician and Manchester resident known as the Junkman. Knaack recently played several concerts live at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., in celebration of Twyla Tharp's 70th birthday and for outstanding choreography over the years. Tharp's pas de deux from "Known by Heart," which was choreographed for ABT, will be performed for the audience.

In addition to performing to Knaacks' live music, dancers will perform "Unrestrained," choreographed by Michail Ilyin, and the "Stravinsky Divertissement," choreographed by Askegard.

All seats are reserved at $40. Tickets are available at the Mountain Goat in Manchester or by calling 802-379-0759.
