NORTH ADAMS -- The Berkshire Chamber of Commerce and the city of North Adams have announced the 57th annual Fall Foliage Festival Parade will be held Sunday, Sept. 30.
This year delivers a playful twist, featuring "Toys on Parade in Northern Berkshire," a theme sure to inspire a creative collection of floats and displays.
"The parade committee wanted to choose a theme that would resonate with the child in all of us," Christine Hoyt, Fall Foliage parade director, said in a news release announcing the parade date. "This year’s theme allows for creativity and imagination with the creation of floats and the participation of marching units."
The 57th Fall Foliage Festival Parade is coordinated by the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce.
"The Berkshire Chamber is thrilled to once again help support the Fall Foliage Parade," said Michael Supranowicz, president and CEO of the Berkshire Chamber, in the release. "The parade is a time-honored tradition in North Berkshire and we understand that, now perhaps more than ever, it is important to businesses and residents to preserve this very special community event."
The parade will kick off at 1 p.m. from the Walmart parking lot and continue down Curran Highway before winding through downtown North Adams. Thousands of Berkshire residents and visitors enjoy the annual parade, which commemorates the autumn season.
