CLARKSBURG -- The six constables who were victors at the annual town election last February will serve for three-year terms, even though the ballot specified one-year terms. A new law passed last year required constables to be elected for three-year terms. The winners were Carl Ca hoon, Howard Chesbro, Leo Davignon, John Hewitt, Paul Pankievich and Bert Benson. NORTH ADAMS -- Spra gue Electric Co. has made known the promotion of three men as a result of QAR de partment organizational changes. Frank Chilson, of 88 Walker St., was promoted to general foreman and Carmen LaCasse, of 30 Nelson St., and Thomas Martin, of 689 Church St. were named foremen.

WILLIAMSTOWN -- Stein erfilm won the Williams town Little League baseball championship. Members of the team are Brad Clark, Mike Curren, Mark Girard, Ryan Hercek, Perse Umlauf, Matt Glogowski, Trevor Bayliss, Sam Scheneski, Jon Elder, Brook Beaudreau and Brett Chenail.
CHESHIRE -- Mark Biagini, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Biagini, of East Main Street, has been promoted to private first class by the U.S. Army. Stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, he is serving as a computer specialist with a military operational specialist unit.
