STAMFORD, Vt. - Stamford Community Church will hold a small get-together at noon in honor of Nancy Carpenter, who died Thursday night at Albany Medical Center from injuries sustained in a two-car collision earlier in the day in Clarksburg, Mass.
Clarksburg Police Chief Michael Williams confirmed Friday morning that Carpenter died Thursday night. She was taken by helicopter to Albany Medical Center Thursday afternoon after emergency responders used the jaws of life to remove her from her vehicle.
The accident, which is still under investigation, happened at about 11:40 a.m. on Thursday at the intersection of North Eagle Street and West Road. Carpenter, along with a passenger and the driver of the other vehicle, were all injured.
Williams said Jennifer Lefevre, the driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident, was treated and released by North Adams Regional Hospital on Thursday. He also confirmed that Carpenter's passenger, whose name is not being released because of his age, was also treated at North Adams Regional for minor injuries.
