Accident victim remembered: STAMFORD, Vt. -- Family and friends of Nancy Carpenter gathered informally Friday afternoon at Stamford Community Church to mourn the loss of a friend and celebrate her life.
Carpenter, a special education teacher at Drury High School for 25 years, died Thursday night at Albany Medical Center from injuries sustained in an accident earlier in the day at the intersection of North Eagle Street and West Road in Clarksburg. She leaves two children, Ed and Jessica Horsfall.
She was remembered by those who knew her as a kind, caring and compassionate individual.

Wilco pitches in: NORTH ADAMS -- In the midst
MoCA Director Joe Thompson said the concert raised an amount in the high "five figures" which will be used for education and art programming. The band has also committed to returning on June 21-23, 2013 with the Solid Sound Festival, which they've been heavily promoting during their tour. An initial lineup of bands and guests is expected in late December.
