A look at the new teacher evaluation system: NORTH ADAMS -- The North Adams School Committee will host a public hearing Wednesday, at 6 p.m., at Silvio O. Conte Middle School to review the new teacher evaluation system that will go into effect in September.
The new system, which was adopted by the state Board of Elementary and Secondary Education at the end of June 2011, seeks to set standards for determining educator impact on student learning, growth and achievement, and also incorporates student and parent feedback into the evaluation process.

Little happening at schoolhouse: WILLIAMSTOWN -- The Williamstown Cooperative
According to the school's website, the preschool program is being "re-examined." The Little Red Schoolhouse has been operating at the intersection of Routes 7 and 43 in South Williamstown since 1964.
