ADAMS -- Drumming at Mount Greylock summit will be held Sunday, Aug. 19, from 6 to 7 p.m.

Experience West African, Cuban and Haitian drum rhythms and songs that honor the natural world, led by naturalist and cultural educator Aimee Gelinas. Drums will be provided. The cost is $5 for children, $10 for adults. Email aimee@gaiaroots.com to register. A hike will be held Saturday, Aug. 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Bryant Homestead, Cum mington. Explore the forest of Bryant’s youth that inspired his poetry with Gelinas. Stop to read some of Bryant’s poems. Members free; non-members $5. Co-sponsored by Tamarack Hollow.
