WILLIAMSTOWN -- The Williamstown Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce the hiring of Jennifer Civello as the new Executive Director.

"We’re thrilled that Jennifer accepted the job," said Allen Jezouit, co-president of the chamber board. "Judy Giam borino did a great job for us for over five years and we feel like Jen is the ideal candidate to take our chamber into the future."

"We are delighted to secure a person of Jen’s abilities to fill this role," said Duffy Judge, co-president of the board. "Her energy and plan for the chamber will serve us well as we continue to try to better serve the interests of our membership."

Mary Morrow, past co-president of the chamber board remarked, "Judy established some wonderful partnerships with business leaders throughout the community and we thank her for her dedication to the Chamber and our community at large. ... I’m excited and pleased she has accepted the challenging role of Executive Director for the Williamstown Chamber of Commerce."

Civello will ease into her new role over the next couple of weeks with an official start date of Aug. 20. Besides her role with the Chamber, Jennifer is an adjunct instructor at MCLA. Previously she lead the tobacco treatment program for North Adams Regional Hospital. Civello is a graduate of Mount Greylock Regional High School and MCLA. She completed her graduate studies at SUNY Empire State College.
