BART looking to broaden: ADAMS -- Berkshire Arts and Technology Charter Public School on Commercial Street has big plans for the coming year.

First they’ll be renewing the school’s charter with the state and looking to include Pittsfield as a district served, and next, plans are in place for a "not more than $3 million" facility expansion, executive director Julia Bowen reports.

Wrong side of the tracks: NORTH ADAMS -- Nicholas J. Cardonnel, 26, of Lanesboro Road in Cheshire, was arraigned in Northern Berkshire District Court on Monday for crashing his vehicle at the railroad tracks near Heritage State Park on Saturday morning.
