Help for human services: NORTH ADAMS -- The city has announced it will offer some $50,000 in human services grants this year. Up to five grants will be given out to local human services organizations that help low income North Adams residents. The funding comes from the city’s Community Development Block Grant funding.

Water warning: ADAMS -- The Fire District recently notified water users that coliform bacteria, an organism that can indicate the presence of certain water-borne pathogens, has been detected in town drinking water.
Officials say it’s not an emergency and that the pathogens coliform bacteria are an indicator
Employees are treating the problem with chlorine and anticipate a resolution within 60 days.
