ADAMS -- The Hoosac Valley golf team earned a 166-178 win over Wahconah on the par-34 layout at Forest Park Country Club on Wednesday. Chad Alibozek, who qualified for the Western Massachusetts tournament the day before, was the medalist for the Hurricanes, firing a 34.

The Warriors got a 41 from Andrew Beaudoin. Mike Barnes added a 41 for Hoosac. Hurricanes coach Jay Sniezek said he thought his team’s scores would be a little lower coming home following road matches at Taconic and Pittsfield. Hoosac gets another shot at home Monday vs. Mount Everett.

Greylock golf

PITTSFIELD -- Mitchell Omelenchuck’s 36 -- with a pair of birdies on the par-35 front nine at Berkshire Hills Country Club -- led Taconic to a 160-190 win over the Mounties.

"He struck the ball really well today," Taconic coach Mike Hillman said. "His irons [worked] very well today. I think, if he had his putting tuned in a little more, he could have been a few strokes lower."

Greylock boys’ soccer

CHICOPEE -- John Pfister scored a hat trick for the Mounties, who led by two at the half and got three saves each from Cal Filson and Alejandro Viquez-Salas to beat Hampden Charter, 5-2 without any of its regular starters.

"We played on a pretty narrow field, so most of the opportunities [Pfister] got were on balls coming in from the flank," coach Blair Dils said. "It was really that penetrating

MCLA men’s golf

CHICOPEE -- The Trailblazers had their best showing of the young season with an 11th-place finish at the Elms Invitational. Taylor Dunn’s 81 led the way for MCLA.

Elms won the team title, while teammates Henry Fall and Phil Rurak each shot a 73 to share individual honors.

Williams women’s soccer

SPRINGFIELD -- Hayley Cook and Lindsey Vandergrift each scored a first-half goals and Carla Nicasio added one in the second half to lead the Ephs to a 3-0 blanking of Springfield College.

Cook opened the scoring just 11 minutes, 5 second into the game. Vandergrift scored with just 2:03 remaining before the half.
