NORTH ADAMS -- The annual Fall Foliage Parade will be held on Sunday, Sept. 30. The following are the emergency traffic regulations that will be in effect.
No parking will be allowed in the parade route area after 9 a.m. This includes Main Street, Hadley Overpass, State Street, Curran Highway, Church Street, Ashland Street, lower Eagle Street (business district), and North Church Street.
Curran Highway will be shut down to north-bound traffic at 11 a.m. at the intersection by Greenberg's. All parade participants are asked to enter the area from the north and exit to the south. Route 8 will be detoured over Church Street to Main or West Shaft Road to Route 2.
The entire parade route will be shut down to traffic at noon.
Any cars that are found on the parade route will be ticketed and/or towed at the owner's expense.
