Moving meeting: NORTH ADAMS -- The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) Board of Directors held their monthly meeting at City Hall today.
The gathering covered a variety of MassDOT issues with reports from administrators in each of the department's divisions. It also provided opportunity to talk about Berkshires-specific transportation concerns.

Recognizing ten years at the helm: NORTH ADAMS -- MCLA President Mary Grant was honored for her 10 years of leadership tonight when the college launched its Sowing Seeds for Success celebration/campaign to support scholarships and programs.

Plunkett name travels far: LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Doug Plunkett, of the Adams Plunkett family, has worked for three decades on the board of a Department of Housing and Urban Development housing project.
On Wednesday, Oct. 10, the building will be rechristened to bear his name, along with the names of two other longtime members. Plunkett's work over the years was done free of charge, and former Nev. Gov. Richard Bryan is scheduled to speak at the rededication ceremony.
