NORTH ADAMS -- The following cases were heard in Northern Berkshire District Court on Monday:
* James J. Morandi, 53, of Hall Street in North Adams, was arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked-lanes violation and speeding. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Oct. 5.
* William H. Turner, 19, of Plunkett Street in Lenox, was arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and a marked-lanes violation. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Dec. 7.
* Andrew A. Lebeau, 42, of Greylock Avenue in North Adams, was arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a number-plate violation. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 9.
* Steven M. Planket Jr., 35, of Alger Street in Adams, was arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, failure to yield at an intersection and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, third offense. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 9.
* Samantha A. Lloyd, 26, of Catherine Street in North Adams, was arraigned on charges of two counts possession of a Class A drug and one
* Jared M. Bennett, 29, of State Road in North Adams, admitted to sufficient facts and was found guilty on a charge of assault and battery. Bennett was sentenced to six months in a house of correction.
* Jonnie Basinger, 23, of Beaver Street in North Adams, was arraigned on charges of disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, witness intimidation and threatening to commit a crime. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 7.
A warrant was issued for the following person:
* Lawrence H. Bussiere, 71, of Madison Avenue in Pittsfield, on a charge of refusal to provide a DNA database sample.
