NORTH ADAMS -- The following cases were heard in Northern Berkshire District Court on Friday:
* Brent N. Butler, 33, of River Street, was arraigned on a charge of assault and battery. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Oct. 16.
* Kathleen M. Dudziak, 20, of Beverly Street in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., admitted to sufficient facts on one charge each of operating under the influence and leaving the scene of property damage. The charges were continued without a finding until Oct. 4, 2013. Dudziak was ordered to pay an OUI fee of $250, a $50 OUI victims fee, $50 to the victim and witness fund, and a probation fee of $65 a month. She was also ordered to attend and complete an in-patient 14-day program by Feb. 1, 2013, and remain drug and alcohol free with screens. Her license was suspended for 210 days.
On a charge of a marked-lanes violation, Dudziak admitted to sufficient facts and was found responsible. The finding was filed with the defendant’s consent.
* Francis N. Farron, 29, of Chase Avenue, was arraigned on one charge each of assault and battery on a person over 60 years old or disabled with serious injury, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person over 60 years old, and intimidating a witness. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Oct. 29.
