PITTSFIELD -- It was all Mount Greylock at Berkshire Community College on Wednesday.
The Mounties’ boys cross country runners took the entire top 10 and 15 of the top 17 spots, winning a pair of duals. Will Kirby earned his first-ever race victory.
No boys times were available due to a timer malfunction at the course.
On the girls side, Greylock’s Kat Chenail held off teammate Emily Kaegi by a second, as Greylock runners took five of the top six spots and seven of the top 10. Chenail won in 21 minutes, 37 seconds, and Greylock’s girls won duals over Drury and Mount Everett.
In boys duals, Greylock beat Drury and Everett (both 15-50); Everett beat BART (20-38) and St. Joe’s (15-50); BART beat St. Joe’s (15-50); and Drury beat the Crusaders (15-50).
BART’s Dylan Quinn was 11th; Mount Everett’s Ilya Dempsey was 12th; and Drury’s Kody Crosier was 22nd.
In girls duals, St. Joe’s won duals over BART (17-41) and Drury (20-36); Greylock beat Drury and Mount Everett (both 15-50); BART beat Everett (15-50); and St. Joe’s beat Everett (15-50).
The Crusaders earned two top-10 finishes Wednesday. Kate Murphy ran the course in 22:18 to take third place, while teammate Christina Longstreeth was seventh in 23:31.

WILLIAMTOWN -- A late goal by Derrick Acheamboag in the 75th minute snapped a scoreless tie and gave Worcester North a 1-0 win over the Mounties.
The Polar Bears (10-1), the defending Division 1 Central Massachusetts champions, are ranked No. 6 in the state in the ESPN MIAA boys soccer poll.
"We had better scoring opportunities than they did," said Mountie coach Blair Dils. "We’re feeling a little disppointed that we didn’t come away from this game with at least a tie, if not a win."
Greylock is now 9-2-1. It’s the end of a brutal stretch of four games in seven days for the Mounties.
MCLA women’s soccer
NORTH ADAMS -- Western New England University’s Tayler Mazurski tallied a pair of goals, including the game-winner in double overtime, to lead the Golden Bears to a hard fought 2-1 victory over MCLA.
WNE evens its mark at 7-7-1, while the Trailblazers drop to 5-7 overall.
Following a scoreless first half, the visitors broke through in the 57th minute when Mazurski took a Rachel Suntag ball in front of the net where she fired a rocket at MCLA’s Danielle Heinsohn. Heinsohn got her hands on the shot, but it slipped past the goal line for a 1-0 edge.
It looked as if the marker would hold up as MCLA couldn’t find the back of the net. That changed in the 83rd minute when Jennifer Ferrari scored off her own rebound. Her shot in the box was initially stopped by Briana Kubik, but the rebound went right back to Ferrari, who converted her team-leading seventh goal of the season.
In the first overtime, neither team seriously threatened, which set up Mazurski’s game-winner. Following a change of possession at midfield, WNE’s Sarah Marois sent a through ball to Mazurski. MCLA’s Heinsohn attempted to come off the line to get the ball, but she was a bit late, which allowed Mazurski an open net for the victory. The marker was her fifth of the season.
