A plan for the wellness of the city: NORTH ADAMS -- State health officials will hear from Ralph Brill, a local gallerist and former architect, during tomorrow’s Ounce of Prevention Conference, where he’ll present a vision that aims to put North Adams back on the map by creating several wellness-based economic drivers.

His ideas include a medical complex on the south side of Main Street, a luxury apartment/conference/hotel center that spans Route 2 and the creation of a Chinese museum. He says the plan would create 3,000 high-paying professional jobs.
