NORTH ADAMS -- Howard Kurtz, the Washington bureau chief of Newsweek and The Daily Beast, is the next speaker in the Hardman Lecture series at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.

The lecture will take place in the MCLA Church Street Center’s Eleanor Furst Ro berts Auditorium today, Wednes day, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m.

It is made possible through the Hardman Family Endow ment, is free and open to the public.

Kurtz also hosts CNN’s "Re liable Sources," which ex plores the standards, performance and biases of the media.

Kurtz is the author of five books, including "Reality Show," a behind-the-scenes look at the network newscasts, and "Spin Cycle," his best-selling examination of the Clinton White House scandals. He also has written for Vanity Fair, Playboy and New York magazines.
