NORTH ADAMS -- North Adams Triad held its regular monthly meeting on Sept. 26 at the American Legion.
The guest speaker was Brian Berkel, a member of the State Police Detective Unit with the Berkshire Dis trict Attorney's Unit for 14 years and a member of the State Police Crisis Nego tiation Unit for 10 years. He also has been on the board of the Berkshire Coalition for Suicide Prevention for two years. He presented a program about preventing senior suicide.
Members were reminded they can still sign up for the Berkshire County Seniors Travel Club. There are many new trips coming up and if anyone wants a list, they can stop in at any future meetings to pick it up.
Raffle winners were Pat Babcock and Leon Suc har zewski.
The RX roundup was held on Sept. 29 with 10 pounds of pills being collected.
Lt. Dave Sacco of the North Adams Police Department made the announcement that any sharps collected have to have the needles broken off and only put the needle in the containers. The syringes can be thrown away without the needles.
The next meeting will be Wednesday, Oct. 24, at noon, at the American Legion. The refreshment committee will be Jennie Strange, Betty Senay, Joanne Raimer, Orella Robare, Alice Noel and Della Gallagher. Committee members are reminded to get to the meeting early.
The date for the annual Christmas party will be announced and voted on.
The October guest speaker will be state
