McCann girls soccer

NORTH ADAMS -- McCann may be 14-1-1 after Monday's 4-0 win, but the Hornets still have not clinched the Tri-County League regular-season title.

The Hornets have a game at Pathfinder today and a home matchup with Franklin Tech on Friday. A win today would give McCann a tie for the league title. Renaissance is keeping pace, and that is forcing McCann to keep on winning.

"You could tell they were a little nervous before the game," said Hornets coach Mike Dowling. "Once the game started, they were fine and controlled the play."

Mary Nguyen scored a hat trick for McCann, with two goals in the first half. She completed the hat trick in the 66th minute.
