NORTH ADAMS -- The North Adams Farmers’ Market will celebrate the season closing with sales, music, prizes and children’s activities on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 8 a.m. to noon, in the St. Anthony municipal parking lot (on the corner of Marshall Street and Saint Anthony Drive).

In addition to the standard market offerings of fresh fruits and vegetables, cheese, canned goods, baked goods, eggs and meat, visitors can also enjoy end-of-the-year discounts from select vendors.

Market attendees can also take advantage of the final chance to enter a raffle to win "A Farm Fresh Thanksgiving Package" that will feature ingredients (including a turkey) from market vendors. A name will be drawn at noon, and the winner will be contacted to pick up their gift basket. Separate arrangements will need to be made for turkey pick up.

The market will offer face painting, and vendors will have goodies to give to children who would like to trick-or-treat at the market.

The last day of the market is the last chance for customers who have WIC and Elderly Farmers Market coupons to use them. SNAP tokens can be carried over to next season.
