Sandy and storm preparation: Northern Berkshire cities and towns are preparing for a category 1/strong tropical storm as Sandy, presently classified a category 1 hurricane, moves up the coast, expected to make landfall in Delaware on Tuesday.
New England Weather Associates predict strong winds and three to five inches of rain beginning Tuesday, with a "strong potential" for flooding in flood-prone areas.

Wheeling and dealing at Wheel Estates: NORTH ADAMS -- A Connecticut-based realty group is seeking to purchase Wheel Estates Mobile Home Park from Morgan Management for $2.73 million in cash.
The sale is pending, waiting out the 45-day window allowed by Mass General Law that allows tenants right-of-first-refusal. Nate Weiss, of Real Estate Seekers LLC, says that the company specializes in mobile home park management and sees the future of any of their properties -- 8 that they own and 4 under contract -- as only being as successful as the partnership between the management and the tenants.
