NORTH ADAMS -- The North Adams Historical Society honored volunteers who serve on its board or work as docents at the North Adams Museum of History and Science at a luncheon Sunday, Oct. 21 at the Bos ton Seafood Restaurant.
Besides being treated to lunch, honorees were given picture frame mementoes.
Speaker Roger Eurbin ac quainted all with his Hillside Cemetery Restora tion Pro ject. The project aims to restore the cemetery to a condition which honors and shows respect to those veterans and citizens of North Adams who have passed on to their final reward. It also aims to instill in the people of North Adams a sense of pride and respect for this historic place and the effort taken on their behalf to accomplish the work required to bring about this restoration, as well as to inform the public of the history surrounding those who are resting there and the impact that many of them have had on our city. It also aims to provide the city with a sense of what can be accomplished by working together for a common goal.
Volunteers attending were Tim Ahern, Helga Berger, Charles Cahoon, Alice Coo dy, Gene and Justyna Carl son, Manny and Shirley Fin klestein, Ed and Joan Morandi, Linnea Nelson, Marcia Sarrouf, Jeannine Smith, Cheryl Tarczynski, Rose marie Thomas and Shirley Wolfe.
Deserving recognition, but not present, were Bonnie Cahoon, Pauline Cantone, Fran Flaherty, Lillian Glick man, Gene Kemp,

The museum is in Building 5A at Western Gateway Heritage State Park. Muse um winter hours are Satur day, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, from 1 to 4 p.m.
