ADAMS -- The Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum, in conjunction with the Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts, will hold a program, for all youths, on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 3 and 4.
Programs on both days will begin at 11 a.m. and include tours of the museum, located in the house in which Anthony was born and lived for the first six years of her life; information about suffrage, what voting gave women and why it is important today to vote; and the chance to make a snack that Anthony enjoyed.
As a special treat, local author Kristen Demeo will read from her book, "Susan," at noon on Saturday. "Susan" is a book written in a journal style that captures what Anthony might have been thinking as a young child in Adams.
Admission is $3 per youth; Girl Scouts will get a special buy-two-get-one-free admission rate.
The museum is on East Road. Information: Girl Scout membership development specialist Rebecca Dravis, 413-588-2071 or rdravis@gscwm.org.
