WILLIAMSTOWN -- Minerva Arts Center is proud to announce open auditions for the third annual Holiday Showcase, a wintertime variety show that plans to warm the Northern Berkshire melting pot and fill you and your family with holiday cheer from around the world.
Whether you’re a musician, poet, actor, dancer, juggler or any other type of performing artist, there’s an opening, especially if your act highlights any number of world religions and the upcoming holiday season.
All types of performers of all ages are encouraged to audition. Performers may elect to perform on one or both of the performance nights.
Auditions are Tuesday, Dec. 4, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.; Thursday, Dec. 6, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday, Dec. 8, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Auditions are first come, first serve, and performers do not need to stay for the entire duration of time allotment. A creative team will determine technical needs and lighting concepts and program credit during the audition. A boom box and piano is on site, and an accompanist will be available.
All auditions will be held in the Youth Chapel at The First Congregational Church of Williamstown, 906 Main St. The tech rehearsal will be Monday, Dec. 17, at 6 p.m. (as needed). Performances are Tuesday, Dec. 18, and Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m., at The First Congregational Church of Williamstown in Fellowship Hall.
