Sawdust flies as Lonny Cimonetti cuts the base of an evergreen tree with a chainsaw. The tree was cut to fit into a hole at City Hall in North Adams on Wednesday morning. The evergreen tree, which was harvested at the Southview Cemetery in North Adams, will be lit to ring in the holiday season Wednesday, Nov. 21. A second tree, which was donated by Steve Perry, of Clarksburg, was placed at Monument Square at the other end of Main Street. The tree lighting ceremony, along with a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, will be held Wednesday at 5 p.m.
