CHESHIRE -- Hoosac Val ley High School’s Hurri cane Early Childhood Program is en rolling for spring 2013.
The program is open to 3 to 5-year-olds in the Adams-Cheshire Regional School Dis trict. It begins Mon day, Feb. 4, and will run through May.
Parents may choose between these two-day-a-week options: Mondays and Wednesdays, or Tuesdays and Thursdays. Both run from 7:45 to 10 a.m.
The program is run in conjunction with the three Child Study classes. High school students who have successfully completed Child Study 1 work with the children, conducting music activities, story time, free play, art activities and a cognitive period.
Enrollment is limited to 12 children in each class, and is on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be a one-time fee of $25 to cover costs. Parents must supply transportation.
