NORTH ADAMS -- Massa chusetts College of Liberal Arts' performance series MCLA Presents! will showcase the comedic improvisation show "Broadway's Next H!t Musical" on Friday, Nov. 30, at 8 p.m., in the MCLA Church Street Center.
According to Jonathan Se cor, MCLA's director of special programs, the New York City-based show is both fresh and hilarious and it brings a unique and brand-new presentation to each audience.
New York's only unscripted theatrical awards show, the cast takes suggestions from the audience to bring them a mock awards show, complete with made-up show tunes. This improvisation will be followed by a performance of the evening's "Phony" Award Winning musical.
Co-presenting this show, along with MCLA Presents!, is MCLA's acting troupe Harl equin. Comprised of MCLA's fine and performing arts students, Harlequin will open the evening with a few musical numbers from its upcoming performance.
Tickets to "Broadway's Next H!t Musical" are $10 for general audiences, $8 for MCLA alumni, $5 for MCLA staff and non-MCLA students. MCLA students are free. To reserve tickets, 413-662-5204.
