WILLIAMSTOWN -- An informational-organizational meeting of the newly formed group, Friends of Williamstown Conservation Lands, will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, in the ballroom of The Orchards.

The group is forming in response to the town's proposal to eliminate the Spruces mobile home park and to remove control of the Lowry property behind Stratton Road, which is currently dedicated to conservation uses, from the Conservation Commission and then to build housing on the land.

Strategies for preserving town-owned conservation lands will be brain-stormed.

Information: Ken Swiatek at 413-458-5651 or log on to the group's Facebook page www.facebook.com/FriendsOfWmstConservationLands.
