NORTH ADAMS -- Awards were presented to members of Cub Scout Pack 60 during their monthly meeting at Greylock School. Bobcat pins were presented to Leroy Luscier, John Marlowe, Marc Scott, Larry Morris and Francis Girard III. Wolf badges went to Steven Betti and James Wynn. The Bear badge to Bruce Bombardier and the Lions badge to Daniel Billings, Robert LeClair and Jerry Siciliano III. NORTH ADAMS -- Marine Pfc. George Betourney, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. George Be tourney of 12 Beech St., has completed the 32-week Naval Air Maintenance Training De tachment Course in basic electronics at the Marine Corps Air Station at Cherry Point, N.C. Betourney entered the Marine Corps in August of 1961 and ad basic training at Parris Island, S.C.

NORTH ADAMS -- Kelly God dard of North Adams, a rider for the Westfield State College Equestrian Club, recently placed first at the Inter-Collegiate Horse Show at the University of Mass achusetts, Amherst. A freshman majoring in both special education and early childhood education, Ms. Goddard is a 1987 graduate of Drury Senior High School.
NORTH ADAMS -- Sixteen student musicians were recently chosen to represent Drury Senior High School at the Mass. Western District Music Festival to be held at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, on Jan. 9 and 16. Accepted in the chorus were Missy Cahoon, Gabrielle West, Florence Oleskiewicz, Krista Gamache, Mary Michalenko, Paul Oles kiewicz and James DelRatez. The Concert Band will include Julie Green, Jennifer Kemp, Beth Norcross, Deborah Ca hoon, Suzette Cote, Deborah Kinsey and Daniel Coyne. The District Jazz Band will include Pete Velyvis and Christopher Caproni.

CHESHIRE -- Four singers from the Hoosac Valley Choral Program were chosen to participate in the 2003 Western District Chorus. Seniors Brent Tenczar, bass; Randy Schick ler, tenor; and Alliyson La Roche, alto; and junior Michael Blazejewski, were selected. Molly O’Grady, a freshman, was chosen to play second violin in the Western District Orchestra
FLORIDA -- Pvt. Jennifer Mroz, daughter of June Mroz of Florida and Michael Mroz of Berlin, N.Y., graduated Oct. 30 from 26 weeks of Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gor don, Ga., as a satellite communications operator/ main tainer. She reported Nov. 13 for duty at Fort Belvoir, Va.
