NORTH ADAMS -- The following cases were heard in Northern Berkshire District Court on Friday:
* William F. Gigliotti, 57, of Hoosac Street in Adams, admitted to sufficient facts and was found guilty on charges of second-offense operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Gigliotti was fined $1,450, given probation until Nov. 28, 2014 and ordered to attend a 14-day residential alcohol treatment program by Feb. 22, 2013.
* William F. Blay Jr., 18, of Houghton Street in North Adams, was arraigned on charges of assault and battery on a child, assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 23.
* Robert Newbury, 57, of Apremont Street in Adams, admitted to sufficient facts on a charge of permitting abuse to an elderly or disabled person. Newbury was fined $2,090 and the case was continued without a finding until May 30, 2014.
