Northern Berkshire District Court

NORTH ADAMS -- The following cases were heard in Northern Berkshire District Court on Wednesday:

* Tracy M. Thompson, 51, of Isbell Street in North Adams, admitted to sufficient facts and was found guilty on a charge of assault and battery. Thompson was sentenced to 18 months in a house of correction with 194 days credit.

* Francis N. Farron, 29, of Chase Avenue in North Adams, admitted to sufficient facts and was found guilty on a charge of violating a harassment-prevention order. Farron was sentenced to 90 days in a house of correction with 64 days credit.

* Adam L. Quimby, 33, of East Quincy Street in North Adams, admitted to sufficient facts and was found guilty on a charge of second-offense operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor. Quimby was fined $1,100, given probation until Dec. 3, 2014 and ordered to attend a 14-day residential alcohol treatment program by Jan. 11, 2013.
