ADAMS -- American Legion Post 160 had an installed new officers for 2012-13 on Nov. 6.
The official ceremony of giving the oath to new officers was George Oleen, First District of Massachusetts commander and commander of Post 340 in Sheffield.
New officers are: commander Anthony Donovan; senior vice commander, Keith McLear; junior vice commander, Anthony Smachetti; recording adjutant, Ralph Schwarzer; personnel adjutant, David Smachetti; finance officer, Paul Hutchinson; chaplain, Anthony McBride; historian, Gary Gattuso; sergeant-at-arms, Robert Thompson; service officer, William Bradley; pill box editor, Ralph Schwarzer; judge advocate, Donald Sommer; and trustees, William Parkhurst for one year, Stanley Kopala for two years, Bruce Goyette for three years, and Donald Sommer for four years.
