PITTSFIELD -- It took Division III-A Wahconah a few minutes to adjust to the pace of play against Division III West Springfield in a 6-5 loss on Saturday.

After five minutes, the visitors were up 3-0 but Wahconah rallied, scoring three goals in the game's final three minutes before coming up short.

"We were really pinned for the first five minutes and it was 3-0," said Warriors coach Don Disbrow. "From that point on, we actually took over play and ended up outshooting them.

"Myself and the other coaches were very happy with the way we responded. Overall that was a team from a higher division that we competed with and really outplayed the last 40 minutes of the game."

Nick Montferret had two goals and an assist while Ryan Ouimet scored twice for the Warriors.
