NORTH ADAMS -- The following cases were heard in Northern Berkshire District Court on Monday:
Debora A. Harmatz, 52, of Maple Street in Williamstown, was arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor and resisting arrest. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Feb. 25.
Sabrina L. Sommer, 18, of Alger Street in Adams, was arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, a marked-lanes violation, license not in possession and speeding. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Feb. 25.
Sasha R. Kouao, 31, of Chestnut Street in North Adams, admitted to sufficient facts on charges of failure to stop or yield and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Kouao was fined $100 and the case was continued without a finding until March 8, 2013.
Nicole L. Grandchamp, 23, of Seminole Drive in North Adams, was arraigned on charges of shoplifting by asportation and trespassing. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 22.
Warrants were issued for the following people: Barton Jones, 31, of Hoosick St. in Troy, N.Y., on charges of kidnapping, armed robbery, assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon.
Leonard Ellis, 42, of 4th Street in Troy, N.Y., on charges of kidnapping, armed robbery, assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon.
Brian E. Foley, 31, of Arnold Street in Williamstown, on charges of failure
